Here at Ocean and Crow, we aim to create a space where you can be yourself, get to know your body better, and walk away with tools you can use in your day to day life. We do our best to cultivate compassion for ourselves and each other, no matter who we happen to be on that particular day. Through movement, meditation, and learning practices, we tap into our own courage, vulnerability, and strength and gain practical tools so we can become more powerful in our own lives. This is yoga for real people!

Julie and Jane are the mother-daughter team running the studio together. Jane brought Julie to her first yoga class when she was 12, and has been practising ever since. Julie has her E-RYT 500 as well as an MA in English Literature. She is a writer as well as a yoga teacher, teacher trainer, and mentor, and you can catch her teaching many of the classes on our schedule. Jane prefers to practice yoga rather than teach, and handles all the boss-lady details that keep the studio running even if you don’t see them day-to-day. Julie and Jane have always wanted to offer the kind of yoga that can help real people with their real life problems, and love being in the Commercial Drive community doing just that.
