When we suppress anger, it can mess with our digestion, make us grind our teeth, shut down our passion, and lash out at the ones we love. When we befriend it, however, it becomes the key to understanding our needs, asserting our boundaries with kindness, and connecting to our deepest selves. It is the key to loving relationships.

In this workshop, we will discuss the power of anger through several Tantric goddesses who are are engulfed in the flames of their rage or carry swords or swallow their husbands in a single gulp. These figures may represent a very old collective feminine resistance that we certainly still need today. They may also help us honor that anger while also choosing kindness in our actions towards others. We will discuss how rage and resistance can live alongside love, forgiveness, and connection. At the end of the workshop, we will move these ideas through our bodies with an all-levels yoga practice. You may wish to bring a journal.
