Private yoga classes are excellent for:

-Starting a yoga practice ensuring safety and correct alignment before going to a public class
-working with injuries or specific physical limitations such as low back pain, shoulder issues, or osteoporosis that may be exacerbated in general classes
-Advancing your practice with a specific goal in mind, such as working towards Headstand, improving core strength or balance, or simply understanding the postures better in your individual body
-Developing a home practice
-Pelvic floor therapy for strength and rehabilitation
-Learning more about yoga philosophy
-asking questions about the practice physically and otherwise
-learning mindfulness and meditation techniques for stress relief and calm in daily life
-Small groups such as families that prefer to practice together privately
-mentorships for yoga teachers who want to advance in their teaching and career

Privates can be held at Ocean and Crow Yoga. Many teachers will come to your home if you prefer. Some sessions are available over Skype.

Julie Peters (MA, E-RYT 500) has been practising yoga for over 20 years. She runs and owns Ocean and Crow Yoga, and offers private yoga sessions, yoga teacher mentorships, and one-on-one mindfulness guidance, which is about applying the principles of yoga and other emotional wellness modalities to day-to-day life. Yoga Teacher Mentorships: 6 sessions for $750+tax
Private Yoga: Single session (1 hour) $110+tax. 10 session package: $1080+tax. Sessions may be for more than one person.
One-on-One Mindfulness Guidance: 10 session package $1080+tax.
*Payment plans are available plus processing fees.

Nicole Marcia, MA, C-IAYT, TCTSY-F conducts private trauma informed yoga therapy sessions. The therapeutic focus of these sessions is the development of body-based self-regulation strategies to empower clients to live connected and safely embodied lives. Trauma informed yoga therapy is particularly effective in conjunction with traditional psychotherapy to address a wide range of conditions – from chronic pain and stress to mental illness and addiction.
