Would you like to make teaching yoga your career? Are you are already teaching full-time but feeling exhausted from too many classes? Do you think about what direction to take in your teaching in order to make your work more sustainable but dread the idea of becoming a yoga celebrity?
The truth is, it is possible to make a (good!) living as a yoga teacher. Even in a city that is saturated with studios and teachers, there are sustainable and fulfilling ways to make this career work for you. In this workshop, we will talk about some of the possible paths you could take as a yoga teacher and give you a chance to think about what you really want. We will explore best practices for filling your classes, getting paid well, and building your career into something that can nourish and sustain you.
Saturday, January 14th, 2:00-5:00pm
$100 before January 7th. Late registration (after Jan 7th) $115
Julie Peters, MA, E-RYT 500, has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. For the past seven years, she has been running Ocean and Crow Yoga studio, and has gone through many shifts and changes with the studio and in her own career. She has also seen many yoga teachers come through the studio struggling through the sometimes difficult life of teaching, and has learned a lot about what works, what doesn’t, and how to make this life work. She is so excited to support you by sharing some of what she’s learned over the years.
